I love getting notes and letters from readers. They are encouraging and I get emotional every time I read one. My most recent one read like this, “While your story broke my heart, your determination through the storm warmed my heart. You are my hero.” This note brings tears to my eyes and encouragement. It reminds me that by writing my memoir, I will definitely help someone somewhere. I am not trying to be a hero, just want to educate the world. I welcome all forms of notes, letters, correspondence. Even the ones of criticism are welcome, those are when I get to explain things in further detail. These give me more chances to spread awareness for Domestic Abuse and Parental Alienation.
Everyone likes “mail”. If you know someone who could use a smile, please send them snail mail. I saw a TikTok the other day where the family of a 33-year-old with Down Syndrome asked for people to send him something. He enjoyed checking the mail every day, but he never received anything. Their updated video showed where he had received a porch full of gifts/mail from all over and he was overjoyed. This is what we need more of in the world today. I too will be sending something to this wonderful young man.
I hope you all will make it a goal to reach out and make someone smile either on a daily or a weekly basis. Have a Fantastic Weekend!!
